- Detailed description of goods and/or services
Monk’s Table is a business in the catering industry that provides homemade meals delivered to your home or work in the areas stipulated in the “Delivery areas” section below. Monk’s Table is also able to provide an event catering service by arrangement.
- Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment at least 48 hours in advance, requests will be processed and meals will be prepared and delivered on the relevant date that the meal was available for or in the case of anytime meals it will be delivered on the date stipulated in the order. Delivery will be done by Monk’s Table between 16:00 and 19:00 on the relevant date to the Shipping Address provided by the client when placing the order. The delivery cost is based on the number of days that delivery is required and will be stipulated at the time of checking out the order.
- Delivery areas
The offering on this website is available for delivery to area’s located in Cape Town, South Africa with a street postal code of 7975 or 7979. This includes the following suburbs: Capri Village, Clovelly, Fish Hoek, Glencairn, Kalk Bay, Kommetjie, Noordhoek, Scarborough, Simon’s Town, Sunnydale, Sun Valley.
- Return and Refunds policy
The provision of goods and services by Monk’s Table is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Monk’s Table will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client more than 48 hours before delivery will attract a 20% administration fee on the refund. Cancellation of orders by the client less than 48 hours before delivery will result in no refund due to the perishable nature of foodstuffs. Due to the perishable nature of foodstuffs, returns of any goods supplied by this website will not be accepted. However, should the client not be satisfied with the quality of the goods supplied they may contact Monk’s Table, using the contact details listed below. Monk’s Table will access the merits of the complaint by considering the clients concern, the time since the goods were supplied, the manner in which the goods were handled between delivery and consumption, and the shelf life of the goods. Monk’s Table will then provide, based on their assessment and at their discretion, either a refund (less a 20% administration fee) or equivalent replacement goods (subject to reasonable preparation and delivery times).
Monk’s Table shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from: http://www.polity.org.za/attachment.php?aa_id=3569. The personal information provided by users will never be provided to a third party except for the express purpose of providing the goods and services that are offered by this website. The contact information provided by users may be used to occasionally to send information on the latest offerings available from this website; should a user no longer desire to receive these updates they may elect to do so by contacting Monk’s Table via the contact details provided in the section below.
- Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard Cards or by bank transfer into the Monk’s Table bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
- Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Monk’s Table via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
- Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Monk’s Table separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
- Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Monk’s Table takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
- Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Monk’s Table chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 12 Glenavon Road, Simons Town, 7975.
Monk’s Table may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
